Realizado a cada três anos desde 2004, o “Crossroads Guitar Festival” tornou-se rapidamente o maior festival do mundo dedicado à guitarra, onde os mais consagrados instrumentistas do mundo se juntam para angariar fundos para o Crossroads Centre que Eric Clapton fundou em Antígua em 1998 para ajudar as pessoas que sofrem de dependência química.
Na primavera de 2013, em Nova York, Eric Clapton juntou um naipe extraordinário de guitarristas para a quarta encarnação de seu lendário Crossroads Guitar Festival. Enquanto os três festivais anteriores foram realizados em estádios ao ar livre desta feita Eric Clapton levou a festa para dentro de casa e pela primeira vez este ano o festival realizou-se num recinto fechado - Madison Square Garden.
O line up deste ano contou com a participação do próprio Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers Band, Blake Mills, Buddy Guy, Derek Trucks, Doyle Bramhall II, Gary Clark Jr., Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Keith Richards, Keith Urban, Los Lobos, Robert Cray, Sonny Landreth, Steve Cropper, Vince Gill, Warren Haynes entre muitos outros.
